My Memories of Military Service in the Navy—New book by my friend Bob James.
I took Bob’s typed story of being at sea in the South Pacific during WW II, and formatted it into book form with photos from his collection.
Book cover art is by Eric October.
Chief Engineer Ensign James served from 1944-1946 on an amphibious troop support ship, the USS Buckingham.
It’s a short read, 36 pages, but it’s packed with fun and poignant true stories from a man who was there to witness it all.
Bob is truly a member of the ‘Greatest Generation.’ At age 96 he’s still going strong!!
All proceeds from Bob’s book will go to veteran charities Wounded Warrior Project & Paralyzed Veterans of America.
